C'est dans le Conversation Pit, œuvre créée par le duo d’artistes Jacent Varoym (Jade Fourès-Varnier et Vincent de Hoÿm) lors de la première édition de Feÿ, que les “Talks” ont cette année pris place. Situé près de la ferme et du puits dans l'aile droite du parc du château, le panel de discussions a suscité la curiosité d'un grand nombre de festivaliers. Assis par terre près de grands bambous prêtés par la jardinerie Baron, ou plus confortablement installés dans le mobilier d'époque emprunté aux salons du château du Feÿ, des visiteurs de tout âge, venus de Joigny, Frankfurt, Lausanne ou Paris, étaient au rendez-vous. Architectes, chefs cuisiniers, artistes, journalistes, étudiants, éditeurs, graphistes, chercheurs et visiteurs... Invité.e.s par Lou de Kerhuelvez et Andréa Losi, ils ont tous et toutes pris la parole pour partager leurs projets, leurs convictions, souvent leur désir de création. Ce week-end là, fermentation (avec Camille Tourny), critique de la jeune création (avec Camille Bardin, Samuel Belfond, Grégoire Prangé de Jeunes Critiques d'Art), collapsologie (avec Laure Nouhalat & Dominique Archambaud), cuisines locales (avec Mathieu Moity, Alexia Duchêne, Lucas Delerry, Céline Maguet, Zoé Lockard), la nature et l'art (avec Ysé Sorel, Guillaume Logé & Alexandre Silberstein), l'amour des livres (avec Federico Nicolao, Sébastien Desplat, Aleï Journal, Klima, First Laid & KD Press) ou encore l’exposition d’art contemporain Bels Animals (avec Indira Bérau, Chloé Royer, Zsófia Keresztes, MORPH Amélie Giacomini & Laura Sellies, Julie Villard & Simon Brossard, Alexandre Silberstein) ont été discutés.
Que les festivaliers soient simplement passés par là ou venus se reposer, qu’ils aient griffonnés quelques notes, participé ou écouté, l’ambiance intimiste du Pit a permis à des échanges généreux, parfois inattendus et saisissants, d’émerger de ces rencontres.

This year, Feÿ Talks took place in the Conversation Pit, a creation of JACENT from last year’s Feÿ Artist Residencies. Invited by Lou de Kerhuelvez and Andrea Losi, who managed the Feÿ Talks in 2019, architects, cooks, artists, journalists, students, editors, graphic designers, researchers, and visitors came to visit our cozy spot and took the microphone to debate and share their stories.
Located next to the old farm and the well, we managed to set up a special atmosphere where guest speakers and visitors could meet. Seated either on the ground next to giant plants borrowed from the Jardinerie Baron or else (more comfortably) in old chairs borrowed from the rooms of the château, attendees came from a variety of age groups and places of origin.
Across the weekend, we hosted talks on fermentation (with Camille Tourny), criticism of new artistic practices (with Camille Bardin, Samuel Belfond, Grégoire Prangé de Jeunes Critiques d'Art), local cuisines (with Mathieu Moity, Alexia Duchêne, Lucas Delerry, Céline Maguet, Zoé Locquart), art and nature (with Ysé Sorel, Guillaume Logé & Alexandre Silberstein), collapsology (with Laure Nouhalat & Dominique Archambaud), the Feÿ 2019 contemporary art exhibition (with Indira Bérau, Chloé Royer, Zsófia Keresztes, MORPH Amélie Giacomini & Laura Sellies, Julie Villard & Simon Brossard, and Alexandre Silberstein), and bibliophilia (with Federico Nicolao, Sébastient Desplat, Aleï Journal, Klima, First Laid & KD Press). This random not-so-little room was a fascinating spot of intimacy. People spoke openly, and the dialogue was incredibly smooth and rich. We really hope that everyone who came and participated enjoyed their time and left Feÿ with good memories of these encounters, new Talks Friends, and food for thought. Next time, we’ll definitely try to record it!
